- Inequality Social policy Status: Ongoing
Attributable fractions of mortality before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic: a comparative study of the Nordic countries
By: Andrea Dunlavy , Lisa Bornscheuer, Agneta Cederström, and Karl Gauffin
This study makes use of national register data to investigate the trends of health inequity in the total population of the Nordic countries from three time periods: pre-pandemic (2017-2019), pandemic (2020-2022) and post-pandemic (2023-2024) years. In doing so, we make use of aggregated Nordic register data, not only to investigate the unequal burden of covid-19 in these countries, but also to decompose changed patterns in social inequalities with regard to cause-specific mortality.
